Terms of Service

SingQueue turns a TV and a few phones into a karaoke night. These terms are the agreement between you and SingQueue for using the service at www.singqueue.com. By creating an account, hosting a party, or joining one as a guest, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use SingQueue.

1. What SingQueue does

SingQueue helps you collect karaoke videos from YouTube into a personal library, organize them into playlists, and run a party where guests request songs from their phones, vote, and follow along on a shared screen. Videos are played through YouTube's embedded player. SingQueue does not host, store, or provide any music or video files of its own.

2. Your account

You need an account to host parties and keep a library. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password or passkey to yourself. Tell us right away if you think someone else has access to it.

You must be old enough to agree to a contract where you live, and at least 13 years old, to hold an account. Guests who join a party from their phones do not need an account — they only give a display name, which everyone at the party can see.

3. Hosting a party

Anyone with your party code or QR code can join, request songs, send messages to the screen, and appear in the guest list. Share the code only with people you want in the room. As the host you can remove songs, skip a performance, and end the party at any time, and you are responsible for what is shown on your screen during it.

4. YouTube

SingQueue uses YouTube API Services to search for videos and play them. By using SingQueue you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and your use of YouTube through SingQueue is subject to the Google Privacy Policy. Videos may become unavailable, region-locked, or blocked from embedded playback by their owners at any time, and that is outside our control. You can remove data SingQueue has stored from the YouTube API by deleting videos from your library or deleting your account.

5. Fair use of the service

Please do not:

• Use SingQueue for anything unlawful, or to harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
• Put hateful, abusive, or sexually explicit content on a party screen — including in display names and messages.
• Break into, overload, scrape, or otherwise interfere with the service or anyone else's party.
• Use SingQueue for a public performance or commercial event without the music licenses your venue needs.

SingQueue is built for private gatherings. If you are running karaoke at a bar, restaurant, or other public venue, getting the right performance licenses is your responsibility.

6. Your content

Your library, playlists, party history, and the names and messages guests send stay yours. You give SingQueue permission to store and display them for the purpose of running the service — showing a shout-out on the big screen, keeping your party recap, and so on. We do not sell them.

7. Copyright

SingQueue links to videos hosted by YouTube and does not copy or distribute them. If you believe something reachable through SingQueue infringes your copyright, contact us at the address below and we will act on it. Claims about a video itself are best sent to YouTube, which hosts it.

8. Availability

SingQueue is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it running, but we cannot promise it will be available without interruption or free of errors, and features may change or be removed. Parties depend on your network, your screen, and YouTube — any of which can have a bad night.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, SingQueue is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, lost parties, or lost revenue arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

10. Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from your settings, which removes your library, playlists, and party history. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or its users at risk.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as SingQueue grows. The date at the top always says when they last changed, and continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the new version.
